How It Works
Our mobile weighing service is designed to make understanding your vehicle and caravan weights simple. We come to a suitable location, weigh your setup and explain the results in clear, practical terms.
1. Book Your Weigh
Contact Coast 2 Coast Weighing with your location, vehicle details and the service you require. We will confirm availability, access requirements and the total price before your appointment.
2. Prepare Your Setup
For the most accurate result, load your vehicle, caravan or trailer as close as possible to the way it will travel. This may include passengers, fuel, water, gas bottles, food, clothing, bikes, tools, recovery equipment and other touring gear.
3. We Come to You
We travel to your home, workplace, storage facility or another suitable arranged location. The weighing area must be firm, dry and reasonably level, with a concrete, asphalt or sealed-bitumen surface. Gravel, grass, dirt and soft ground are not suitable.
The available space should be at least 1.5 times the overall length of your connected vehicle and caravan or trailer.
4. We Measure Your Weights
Depending on the service booked, we may measure individual wheel loads, front and rear axle weights, GVM, ATM, GTM, GCM and tow ball mass. Measuring each wheel separately also helps identify uneven side-to-side or front-to-rear loading.
5. We Explain the Results
Your measured weights are compared with the nominated limits for your vehicle, caravan, trailer and combination. We explain what each figure means and highlight any areas that may require attention.
6. Receive Your Report and Advice
You receive a clear, comprehensive report showing your measured weights, relevant limits, remaining payload and calculations. We also provide practical guidance on managing payload and improving the position of water, bikes, tools, food and other equipment.
